Tada, the secret of my healthy night time skincare is my secret for healthy glowing skin. Before I jump into my bed, nighttime skin care regimen is a must for me.
Let me tell you, why it is so important to take care of the skin during night time.
Research shows that the time from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. It is the time when collagen of our body is boosted. Finally, it makes our body free of harmful free radicals. And that is why it is so important to have a beauty sleep for at least 8 hours. Trust me, this was not an easy habit for me to adopt, as I’m naturally a night owl, but I make a big effort to be in bed by 11 p.m. on a daily basis for this reason. At night, our skin repairs and absorbs all the active ingredients on the skin.
Oily skin night time skin care routine
Step1: Remove your makeup–
Start by removing your makeup. Grab your favorite makeup remover and start removing all of your makeup. Take a cotton pad, apply some remover on it and clean your face. Always choose a gentle or non-drying makeup remover. The best makeup remover is olive oil as it removes all the waterproof makeup also. Don’t forget to massage the oil on your face. It removes the makeup and also cleans the pores. As a result, it gives an instant blood flow to the skin. I personally prefer L’oreal makeup remover or Revlon makeup remover.
Step 2: Cleanser and Exfoliator
Never forget to wash your face after removing makeup. it’s best to use with lukewarm water. Then exfoliate your skin at least 3-4 times a week to remove the dead cells of your skin. This easy step only takes a few seconds and a few swipes to help dissolve away surface oil, dead skin cells, and any residual dirt or makeup from your day.
Step 3: Toner
Toner is a must in a skincare routine. As toner helps in balancing the pH and prepping skin. Take a quarter-sized amount of product and press it on the face just like Korean skincare. The best way to apply is to take a cotton pad. Apply the product on it and just press into the skin. As a result, it cleans the skin and tighten the pores.
Step 4: Night repair cream
Even oily skin needs an extra step to maintain the skin Ph level. Night repair cream is a must for all the oily skin beauties. the most important of night cream is, it should not be too thick or emollient to get absorbed in the skin. Try to choose a perfect product which hydrates the skin.
Moisturizer is the most, whether you are an oily skin type or dry. But for oily skin type choose a moisturizer which is not much greasy and oily to your skin. Otherwise, you will feel heavy on your face. Let me tell you a secret, the more you keep your skin hydrated, then more you glow.
Step 8: Eye Cream
The eye cream is a must for everyone. No matters whether you’re are oily skin or dry skin. As the skin below th eyes are so thin,they need extra care. However, the skin near the eyes needs extra hydration. So, Hydrating the eyes with an eye cream is a must. As a result, you can avoid wrinkles and aging.
This is my simple night skin care routine. I know these steps may seem little more. But trust me dear one, after doing it for a week. You can see an amazing result on your skin. Have sweet dreams but with clear glowing skin. When you get up in the morning, your skin will be hydrated and moisturized.
