Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Face Wash-
I am back with my new review product. Today’s product is one of the irreplaceable members of my skincare routine.
As the name itself tells us all about its quality. It’s an oil-free face wash for acne prone skin. Those people who are suffering from acne or a pimple should definitely try this. I started using this facewash for last 2 weeks. It showed great results, helping my pimples to stop coming.
This face wash contains salicylic acid which helps the drug to penetrate through the keratin layer of skin. Salicylic acid has anti-inflammatory properties and can help open clogged pores and clear up redness and swelling associated with acne. Special skin soothers help prevent irritation and overdrying. Skin is left clean, residue-free and never oily.
SO LET’S START THE REVIEW:
Neutrogena is an American brand of skin care, hair care, and cosmetics. It is a brand of the Johnson & Johnson Family. The no.1 dermatologist-recommended skincare brand for acne prone skin and sensitive skin.
Rs. 494 for 175 ml of the product, but in Amazon, you can get it at a lower price during the sale.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash is an alcohol-free cleanser that provides deep cleaning without over-drying your skin. It penetrates deep to clean pores to help prevent pimples by removing excess oil and surface buildup.
It comes in a transparent bottle packaging with a nozzle pump dispenser. The bottle is transparent and one can see the light orange colored gel inside. The packaging looks good but it is not travel-friendly.
If anyone presses it right to the bottom, the pump dispenses too much product for one use. For the optimum quantity of product, pressing it lightly is enough.I love this product but the packaging really needs to be changed!
The product is a light orange colored gel, which looks bright enough when you keep it on your bathroom shelf. The consistency of the face wash is a gel type, not much watery.
It lathers with water but does not foam a lot. It gives a clean glow after rinsing with water. Since it doesn’t lather a lot, it is not drying and leaves the skin soft, smooth and clean. When you touch your skin you will definitely fall in love with your skin, it makes the super skin soft. This is one of the specific reason I love it. Normally other face wash makes skin little rough making the skin dry, but this works a great even though you have an oily skin. Since it does not leave behind any residues on the facial skin.
First of all, it does keep acne and pimples under control though it doesn’t eliminate their occurrence completely. It helps in reducing them by cleaning all your excess oil and dust build-up.
It has a very light pleasant fragrance which reminds me of baby products. The product only says ‘meant for acne prone skin’.
It is not very drying but I do feel like applying a moisturizer after using this. This product contains 2 % Salicylic acid and hence may not be suitable for very sensitive skin types. It is also mentioned behind the packing in the warning section.
A very small quantity is required for one wash and this way the 175 ml bottle will easily last 4-5 months. I use it 2-3 times a day.
It is the best face wash for my skin type I have used to far and I will definitely repurchase this one.
Highly recommended to everyone with combination/oily skin and/or acne tendency.
