Hello everyone,
I am back with my new post about hair care. I know everyone loves their hair. Whether you have thin hair or thick hair, curly or straight does not matter. The matter is only how good your hair is. So, it’s important to pay careful attention to our hair care regime to keep them at its best.
If you have coarse, thin, curly, treated, damaged, dry, dull and oily hair taking care of it becomes very important.
As we are entering the most beautiful season that is winter, our hair changes from silky, smooth to frizzy, dry ends, losing moisture, itchy scalp causing dandruff.
I do have curly hair.During winters I do suffer from an itchy scalp.By using hair packs(DIY), I just try to avoid them.
Today I am going to share some basic hair care tips for all the hair types. However, there are few ways to manage those frizzy situations by incorporating a couple of new items and tips into your beauty routine.
Here are eight everyday tips you can use to achieve flawless, frizz-free hair.
Note: Don’t panic, when you see a small brunch of hair falling. It’s normal to lose 100 to 150 strands of hair a day.
- Choose a perfect hair brush.
Choosing the right brush is one of the most important things. A boar bristle brush or a wet brush should be your best friend, which helps to minimize friction when brushing. A natural fiber brush, like the boar.
A Detangling brush is a must for detangling your hair. It’s super important that your hair brush helps smoothen the hair shaft, to minimize any breakage. The hair doesn’t get caught on any knots, leaving the hair smooth and silky without pulling out hair strands.

Make sure you only ever use a wide-tooth comb when the hair is wet. Brushing when damp can cause a lot of damage as it stretches the strands rather than separating them.

- Keep your scalp moisturized.
Good hair comes from a healthy scalp. If you want frizz free hair then keep your hair strands moisturized. You have to give them the hydration they need by using hair packs and hair mask. Use hair masks that are made with natural ingredients like coconut, argon oil, and Shea butter.

Plus, if you want your hair to look flawless, apply oil twice a week to deeply penetrate your strands for smoother results. Applying oil help in blood circulation near your roots, which just help you in hair growth and also reduces hair fall. I have shared a post on hair oils.
- Always prefer a Satin Pillow.
Always “choose a satin pillowcase if you want to keep your hair healthy”. Satin pillowcases are very smooth which means that your hair won’t get tangled up while sleeping on them. These are good at keeping your hair healthy is because they don’t suck out all of the natural moisture that your hair has but Cotton pillowcases strip this moisture from your hair making it brittle and dry and that’s something you don’t want. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that you’ll feel like a princess sleeping on an all-satin pillowcase.

- Avoid washing your hair daily.
Don’t wash your hair daily. Shampooing too frequently can strip your natural oils. Wash at least two to three times a week. Do prefer to use sulfate-free shampoos or any organic shampoo. Some brands that I would like to suggest are Organix, Forest Essential, Khadi, Kama Ayurveda, etc.

My favorite among them is Organix Shampoos because it contains Argon Oil & other natural ingredients and is sulfate free. You can check the review of the same here.

- Use a hair wrap or an old t-shirt instead of a towel to dry.
Say hello to microfiber towels. Water helps the to hair cuticles to swell up and produce frizzy locks. If you want to get rid of the excess water as quickly and gently as possible. Microfiber towels are perfect to use because they absorb the water from your hair much faster without causing friction.

Gently ring out the water by lightly squeezing your hair with the towel, then carefully wrap your strands in the towel and let them sit for about 10 minutes or until your hair is mostly dried.A well-balanced diet is most important for your hair. Your diet must be rich in calcium, iron (helps in reducing hair fall).try to eat green leafy vegetables, eggs, dates, nuts, raisins, cereals. Do prefer a diet comprised of protein. Protein helps in hair growth and provide nutrients to your hair.

- Trimming.
Trimming your hair once in two months helps in reducing split ends. This is my own personal experience to remove split ends. This is especially important for growing layers or bangs to reshape and make each stage of growing a hairstyle.
- Prefer to choose alcohol-free products.
Beauty products that are made with alcohol will dry out your hair. Protect your strands by entirely skipping these frizz-inducing formulas and using alcohol-free products instead. Do prefer for leave-in conditioners and serums for an added boost of hydration to help tame flyaway, especially for those midday frizzy scares.
